JAG RF can supply a number of filter accessories such as coupling loop assemblies. We stock a wide range of loops from all the major manufacturers, such as TXRX, Sinclair, Celwave, and Decibel. Coupling loops play a big role in determining what kind of frequency response a given cavity filter will produce. A slight adjustment in a coupling loops geometry can alter the frequency response it produces significantly. JAG RF can provide this loop calibration service with new or used loops and we can also replace and form new reactive components (inductive and capacitive parts of the loop). JAG RF also stocks many types of variable and mica capacitors for loop assemblies as well as new N type round loop connector bodies. |
Installing filters in 19-inch racks is the most common mounting option and because of this, JAG RF stocks many 19-inch rack mount systems for a variety of filters from duplexers to combiners. JAG RF also manufactures its own all aluminum 19-inch rack mount kit designed to adapt to all major brands. Two main designs exist for 19-inch filter mounting systems, two-piece and single-piece. The 2 piece consists of 2 individual rack mount bars usually 19-inches wide, each with a set of yokes attached. These are ideal for shipping and they reduce weight to the overall filter assembly. The single-piece is a single plate with all yokes attached to it. This makes it easier to install at an RF site; however, they make the overall shipping package of the filter systems larger and shipping costs increase and they are usually made of steel, which increases the weight. |

A yoke is like a cradle, which a round cavity filter sits on and is usually fastened by a hose clamp. JAG RF stocks many shapes and sizes but can also manufacture them for customized needs. We stock mainly plated steel and plastic yokes like the one pictured to the left; however, we stock aluminum L-shaped brackets that can be spaced the appropriate distance on a mounting surface to accept any diameter of cavity filter. JAG RF also stocks many brands and sizes of hose clamps big enough to traverse the circumference of the largest cavity filter. |

Over the years filter designs from a number of manufacturers have been evolving and new techniques have been developed. As a result, parts used in previous filter designs have become obsolete. On many occasions JAG RF has been asked by customers to supply discontinued filter parts. For this reason we stock many components that have become obsolete. However, sometimes the part that needs attention does not need to be replaced, only repaired. In this case JAG RF can simply source or re-manufacture the component in question. This scenario was demonstrated when a customer only required the dielectric rod (Rexolite) inside the coupling loop pictured to the left. |
